Why start now?
In some ways, it is back to the roots.
Social media posts, even on on informative topics, tend to gravitate toward the platform objectives: followership and engagement. I contributed to one and I appreciate the nuances and care taken to craft a platform that is safe and engaging for all. They are great for consuming content and being a professional creator, but not for documenting my personal ideas.
I basically felt that that it bottlenecks most interesting, honest, and authentic ideas for me, and I needed an outlet to document these. For a while I've been using Notion as a substitute and it works fine.
This year I'm trying a stronger commitment of sharing, not just to the world, but to a later version of myself. I hope to keep these filtered to ideas that will be relevant years down the line, or at least worth revisiting, and not succumb to the variance of here-and-now.
